Your measurements stay in your browser

Calculator inputs and results are processed on your device. The calculator code does not upload your measurements or room names. Your last valid inputs and unit preference are saved in this browser’s local storage so you can return to your draft.

Someone else using the same browser profile may be able to see those saved values. Avoid entering sensitive information into room or project names.

You can also remove this data using your browser’s site-data settings. Clearing it removes saved drafts for your next visit; a calculator already open in another tab can save new values.

Copies and printing

The Copy list button writes the shopping list to your clipboard when you request it. Print list opens your browser’s print controls. Room & Root does not receive those lists.

Hosting and external links

Our hosting provider receives information needed to deliver and protect this website, such as the requested page, IP address, browser details and request time. Provider services may have their own privacy terms. Following a source link takes you to a separate website with its own data practices.

Advertising and analytics

This version does not load advertising scripts or audience analytics. If advertising or analytics are introduced, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated before those services are enabled.
